Pretty insane value. Not the best quality but you cannot deny the amount of food they give you for $5. The like moves fast so don't be deterred by it. Best one is the roast duck.

"I'd pay x dollars for this." WHEN THAT THOUGHT HITS YOUR HEAD YOU ALREADY KNOW THE FOOD IS UNREAL. I am a cheap guy who meal preps office catered lunch (I've spent $15 total for a pack of Tupperware on Amazon for my everyday meals). AND IM TELLING YOU I WOULD HAPPILY HAND OVER A $20 BILL FOR THIS $8.50 PORK OVER RICE.
The pork is fatty, juicy, tender and gushy mouthfeel with a FANTASTIC light soy barbeque flavor. The cabbage soaks in that magic sauce Wah Fung makes in the back and the rice soaks all these flavors up to give you the perfect mouthfeel that will bring you to tears like it did the first time for me. "How is this $8.50? How?". Eating Wah Fung for the first time feels like committing robbery for the first time. And you come back because you want to do it again. Jk I've never committed robbery or anything illegal but it's what I imagine the sensation to be like.
Seriously, come here. I was here last year as a summer intern and came here 3 days in a row. This place is phenomenal and is easily my favorite Chinese food establishment. You come to New York to get Wah Fung and in turn Wah Fung will make you come (Food Wars level kind of food).
Every year I go out of my way to make a trip to Wah Fung and it's always great. I usually just get the roast pork/chicken but I went for the triple combo of roast duck/pork/chicken this time. While this place is cash only, the cheap price reflects it positively since you can get so much for so little. Well, everything was made perfectly as always, roast pork - juicy, sweet, and salty, both chicken and duck - tender, well spiced, and moist, skins very flavorful. Their steamed rice and cabbage work well in soaking up the meat juices and extra sauce they douse on at the end. There's no seating inside but I like to take my food across the street and eat at one of the multiple park benches. Incredible food, incredible prices!
Never had a chance to come before the closure. But as SOON as I heard they reopened I had to come. Roasted pork was soooooo good and def worth the price point. This is a MUST try spot next time you're in the area. Line was maybe 7-8ppl long but moves fast.
I ordered 2 Large Roasted Pork (pictured is just 1) and I paid like $15.
Always well priced and delicious! I go every time I'm in Chinatown and get the combo and am pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quantity of food
